- Acupuncture -

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine where we use a fine needle to prick in the different parts of the body which helps to balance the energy or life force.

Acupuncture has great benefits in treating musculoskeletal disorders like cervical spondylitis, lumbar spondylitis, osteo arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis etc…  helps in fertility treatment & menstrual disorders.

How Acupuncture Works ?

Acupuncture is based on the concept of qi, which is believed to flow through the body along meridians or channels. When qi is flowing freely, the body is in a state of balance and health. However, when qi is blocked or disrupted, it can lead to pain, illness, and other health problems. Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body to unblock and rebalance the flow of qi.

What to Expect During an Acupuncture Session ?

During an acupuncture session, you will lie down on a treatment table while the acupuncturist inserts thin, sterile needles into specific points on your body. You may feel a slight prick or tingling sensation as the needles are inserted, but acupuncture is generally not painful. You will typically remain lying down for 20-30 minutes while the needles remain in place. Some people experience a feeling of deep relaxation during the session, while others may feel energized or invigorated.

The cups are typically placed on specific points on the body, depending on the condition being treated. Cupping therapy can be done using either a “dry” method, where the cups are simply placed on the skin, or a “wet” method.

Where a small incision is made in the skin before the cups are applied to draw out a small amount of blood. This is mainly used for painful conditions, to recover from muscle spasm, post workout soreness.

- Moxibustion -

Moxibustion is an ancient healing technique that involves burning a small amount of dried mugwort (a type of herb) on or near specific points of the body to stimulate healing.

It is believed that burning this on specific points helps to remove the energy blockages & balance the flow of energy (chi) in the body. This is one of the best treatments used to treat skin disorders & gastrointestinal disorders.

Moxibustion is often used in traditional Chinese medicine, but it has gained popularity in the West as a complementary and alternative medicine practice.
